Overview The purpose of this job is to support the IT Administration department, particularly as it relates to financial analysis and budget management by assisting in the preparation of various financial reports as directed by the Chief Information Officer. This role will evaluate the financial needs for IT by developing budget strategies to increase the company's profitability.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate the financial needs for IT by developing budget strategies to increase the company's profitability. Prepare budget reports, present recommendations to CIO and Senior Executives and monitor expenditures. Work with other department managers when providing financial updates Investigate, analyze and prepare recommendations for appropriate actions involving IT purchasing activity. Find unneeded expenses to yield cost savings and provide a positive impact to Trustmark's income statement Review invoices and proposed purchases to determine best categorization and description of technical items. Through analysis and software management determine the cost effect/efficiencies when approaching End of Life (EOL) Work to stream-line processes to a workflow chain vs. a manual aspect. Provide analysis on the Common Channel Interoffice Signaling (CCIS) & Financial Institutions of all Sizes (FIS) bill to maximize efficiencies Analyze decisions, systems or projects, to determine a value for intangibles. Identify the benefits of an action as well as the associated costs, and subtracting the costs from benefits Assist in the preparation of various analyses as directed by the Chief Information as well as prepare reports for presentation to the CEC. Act as liaison with Strategic Sourcing in order to formulate desired senior management reports using cost analysis Serve as liaison between IT administration and various internal IT departments to ensure most effective use of technical dollars spent Qualifications Knowledge of technology terminology Good understanding of accounting/reconcilement process Broad comprehension of financial/statistical analytical terminology and methodology Strong computer and organizational skills Good communication skills, both verbal and written Strong analytical skills Attention to detail Ability to report research results Strong problem-solving skills Strong project management skills Strong Microsoft O365 skills Interpersonal skills in order to negotiate, interact, and build relationships with associates at all levels Time management skills Ability to produce, append or manipulate spreadsheet data to communicate discovery Bachelor's Degree (Major in Accounting or Finance) At least three (3) years of job-related accounting, financial reporting/analysis experience required At least one (2) years of budgeting/forecasting experience required
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Accounting, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
