The analyst position within Corporate Strategy is responsible for data collection, research, and analytical modeling for a wide range of topics.
In addition to great analytical skills and business acumen, an analyst is expected to have strong communication skills and a real curiousity about the energy industry.
Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis
- Identify relevant information sources, gather, and interpret data
- Interview company subject matter experts, customers, and industry experts; incorporate learnings into team's strategic recommendation
- Work as a part of a small, multi-disciplinary team to tackle pressing company issues
- Perform financial, statistical, and scenario modeling
Monitor Business Environment
- Understand the company s business environment and industry landscape; conduct analysis to draw insights for strategic decision-making
- Collect, maintain, and analyze quantitative data (signposts) related to the company s business environment
Strategic Planning and Strategy Execution Monitoring
- Perform financial and business analysis on company strategy, develop insights and recommend any changes that may be necessary
- Collect, maintain, and analyze benchmarking and other data related to execution of the company s strategy
Reports and Communications
- Generate reports and analysis using data from multiple sources; distill work into succinct written communications with persuasive recommendations
- Review and ensure accuracy of information
- Effectively communicate ideas to senior executives, utilizing tools and presentations to reveal key findings and insights
Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree degree in a quantitative field (math, science, business, etc.
) or equivalent experience - 3
years of experience
.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
