Department Summary The Technology Strategy & Management Project Management team leads and supports the TS&M; portfolio of projects throughout their lifecycle; this includes requests for change from business units. The team has knowledge and support from requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, design through implementation and hand off to operations spanning multiple simultaneous projects. The team works within defined company and department standards and has a focus on internal customer service. Job Description/Responsibilities The Project Manager leads and manages IT projects by managing, supporting, and assisting all aspects of a project from origination through the final implementation and closing, ensuring governance process adherence, project continuity, and stakeholder management. The PM develops project budgets, schedules and is responsible for performance against those parameters and monitoring and reporting on projects. She/he has responsibility for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts working very closely with the rest of the organization and sponsors. The PM is responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the project. The Project Manager is responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, and escalating associated risks, issues and change requests appropriately. The PM oversees the work of project-based resources and assists with performance reviews. The PM will provide feedback to the Project Management Office (PMO) for recommendations for process improvement and for capturing lessons learned for sharing across the organization. Additionally, the PM is also responsible for ensuring that the organizational change management activities are planned for and implemented. The TS&M; PM is typically responsible for projects or portions of projects in the range of $5M-$10M. Key responsibilities include:
Accountable for successful project delivery, where success is defined in partnership between the IT and Business Partner and focused on efficiency and Business Partner satisfaction
Working in a collaborative environment across IT teams to ensure project delivery risks and issues are managed in an effective manner
Accountable for performance against financial parameters and monitoring and reporting on budgetary aspects of project
Provide communication around status updates, changes, and new initiatives to ensure collaboration and coordination
Take a leadership role in the successful completion of projects within scope of responsibility
Ensure area of responsibility is aligned with Business Capability Reference Model and assures strategy and plans are aligned, communicated and understood by stakeholders
Self-directed within broad goals and strategic direction to satisfy organization objectives
Operates with significant autonomy and latitude in meeting business objectives and enabling efficient project delivery
Understanding of benchmarking and process improvement techniques
Monitor and oversee IT projects, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, dependencies, and benefits throughout the project lifecycle

A bachelor's degree is required; preferred field of study in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other IT-related area, Business or related

years of experience working in an enterprise-size IT environment, including 5
years as an IT Project Manager
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred; if not certified, employee must obtain certification within 3 years of entering the PM position
Manage IT projects, including monitoring scope, schedule, cost, quality, dependencies, and benefits throughout the project lifecycle
Proven experience developing baseline and maintain project plans, including and financial forecasts and performing against financial targets
Demonstrated leadership ability to oversee and manage a team in order to enable successful project delivery
Ability to work in a matrix team environment and to positively influence and collaborate
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence and negotiate to ensure positive outcomes in the delivery of services, including the ability to communicate effectively to both internally and externally facing organizations
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail
Ability to operate with significant autonomy and latitude to meet business objectives

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
