Eaton has an opening for a Lead Analyst, Global Trade Management. This individual can be located at our Jackson, MI or Toccoa, GA aerospace facilities.
The primary function of this position is to oversee the day-to-day importing, exporting and customs related activities of Eaton Aerospace. This includes but is not limited to evaluating customs brokers, updating and administering compliance policies, analyzing and approving products for classification and country of origin marking and labeling, monitoring and reviewing documentation, record keeping as mandated, annual reconciliation and duty assist evaluation.
The incumbent will function as the primary Trade liaison to the Business Units as POC for trade activities and issues. Create reporting and provide analysis of site trade activities including setting up profiles of exporters and importers. Work with 3rd party trade vendors in compliance activities to support priority projects. Understand U.S. and international regulations regarding import and export of material, information and technology.
Essential Functions:
Manage the relationship between brokers and customers and the Eaton Center of Excellence for classification and qualification.
Manage import and export classification projects for the business.
Assist with country of origin determination for all products.
Management of the reconciliation process with US Customs.
Work with appropriate personnel to ensure correct INCOTERMS are being used for both import and export transactions.
Ensure freight forwarders and suppliers comply with ISF filing requirements.
Ensure that freight forwarders are using the proper export license and that licenses are being tracked.
Support denied party screening activity.
Act as Escalation point and ensure proper communication of site level Trade Compliance issues to GTM Management.
Assist in Audit of customs entry to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Assist with Pre and Post Entry activities such as CF28, CF29, protests, refunds, drawback, Post entry amendments.
Improve compliance through annual internal self-assessment and improvement plans.
Prepare, review and participate in the development and implementation of trade compliance processes and procedures.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years of trade compliance work experience
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Jackson, MI or Toccoa, GA will be considered.
Position Criteria:
Candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiency in compliance rules and regulations related to import and export laws.
Understanding of the export regulations for EAR and ITAR as well as restricted party screening.
Computer literate with high levels of capability & comfort utilizing Microsoft suite.
