Job Description/Responsibilities The St. Clair Compressor Station Project will include the addition of a new plant 3 to the existing Plants 1 and 2. The project will enhance station automation and improve the station's reliability and performance. The candidate will be assigned to the St. Clair Compressor Station project engineering, procurement and construction activities located in eastern Michigan. The candidate will be required to be located with the Project Team in Jackson, MI during the design phase and then at the jobsite once construction begins. The candidate shall be capable of providing on-site project engineering, design coordination, and field engineering support throughout all phases of the project from preliminary engineering through project startup and turnover. The candidate must have the ability to foster collaborative coordination of the Engineer, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), contractor project personnel, and the plant. The individual ensures the design complies with applicable codes, standards and performance expectations; monitors field installation, documents and recommends field design changes where appropriate; ensures testing validates critical design characteristics; and reviews record documents for fidelity with installed configuration. The candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and characteristics: Communication skills (verbal and written); basic or advanced computer skills; previous experience in an industrial setting; willingness and ability to accept and adapt to change such as frequently changing priorities, a variety of job assignments, willingness to travel, and a willingness to relocate for development or job advancement; willingness and ability to work as a team member with all work groups; willingness and ability to work nights and weekends as needed; willingness and ability to work overtime as needed. The Engineer will represent the company, department and project team during all engineering meetings and must conduct business in an ethical manner in accordance with our corporate Code of Conduct This position will be located at the Parnall location until the end of the year. After that the position will move to the St. Clair location. Requirements/Qualifications The qualified candidate must have a bachelor of science in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university. The ideal candidate should typically have 7 or more years of project engineering experience with the demonstrated capability to contribute to large scale projects or multiple medium scale projects. The qualified candidate will be required to interface with personnel from the plant as well as across various engineering, equipment manufacturer, and contractor organizations. The qualified candidate will be required to have the ability to review and understand design specifications and drawings and verify completeness both in design and installation. The qualified candidate will have the ability to manage contracts as well as understand scheduling concepts (logic, manpower loadings, baseline schedule, earned value reporting etc.). Professional Engineer license preferred, however, is not required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
