Villares Rolls products are offered through an integrated commercial structure, with technical and commercial attendance to the 5 continents around the world. The products are manufactured at two plants of Gerdau, one in Pindamonhangaba (Brazil) and the other in Reinosa (Spain). A broad portfolio of products is available to support the main rolling mill rolls applications in the steel and metals industry.

Gerdau - Villares Rolls is currently seeking an Account Manager for its North American Territory based out of Jackson, Michigan

Responsibilities:
Incumbent will be responsible for supporting account management and sales for clients in the United States and Canada
Provide technical support and act as materials expert in assessing the customer's needs and advising appropriate products to meet those needs
Guide customers regarding the most adequate utilization practice of Rolling Mill Rolls, through periodical visits to each customer and technical work presentations or specific material remittance
Ensure compliance of technical and commercial terms negotiated with each customer, through contract critical analysis and periodical follow-up of delivery time, shipping and commercial invoices liquidation
Ensure immediate service and support regarding customer concerns, through prompt response and adequate detailing for solving the problem presented by the customer
Guide and assist commercial representatives in the region, in compliance to meet the sales goals, through technical and commercial support for the success of each negotiation and joint visits to every customer in the region
Contribute to new markets and new customer development through surveys and product innovation, which may increase market share.
Participate in the elaboration of a yearly sales and production plans for the Rolling Mill Rolls Business strategic unit. Compilation of information related to current market trends, products, customers and competitors in the North American market.
Establish pricing and commercial policies to be adopted in each region through market information analysis for each market, product, customer and competitor with the assistance of marketing management
Ensure compliance of established sales goals in alignment with master plans, through periodical appraisal of performance of the commercial areas and within the established sales objectives


Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Material Science or related Engineering field required
Master's Degree in related field a plus (not required)
3+ years' experience in the steel or aluminum industry (rolling mill rolls preferred)
3+ years' experience working in a sales or account management role within the industry OR proven university materials based curriculum (Master's candidates will also be considered, commensurate with a high level research engagement in steel or aluminum manufacturing and processing)
Experience in providing technical support in the steel industry
Experience in market development
Proficient in non-destructive testing
Intermediate skills with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience with SAP a plus but not required
Knowledge of ISO Standard, basic concepts of rolling and destructive tests, metallurgy and fail analysis;
Impeccable communication and customer service skills
Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese a plus!

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
