00pm! Purpose or General Objective:
To sort, hang, and tag donated merchandise while meeting GICMH production standards.
Essential Duties:
Continually serve as a positive role model for all employees, participants, and customers working with and for Goodwill Industries.
Sort through donated goods while determining quality textile and bin to hang and seasonal merchandise to store.
Continually hang and tag textile and maintain a level of processing performance of at least 80 pieces per hour with no more than 5% bale.
Correctly label carts and Gaylords as SEASONAL or BALE, or as directed.
Assist the Production Supervisor with shipping and receiving between locations.
Transfer Z-Racks, carts, and Gaylords to the appropriate staging area within the processing area.
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment by following safety procedures and reporting injuries and safety hazards.
Maintain good housekeeping skills, including sweeping and cleaning the work area at the end of the shift.
Perform 5-Minute Drills at workstations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, bend, twist, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
Ability to use a pallet jack.
Work Experience Requirements:
No experience necessary Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

As a retail employee you will collect donations from the community, get them ready to sell in your store, and then sell them to our customers.
This helps people in that community and others in Central Michigan get work experience, job training, and other services.
You will be working with the public so a positive attitude and friendliness are a must.
We collect everything from furniture to clothing so you will be handling a wide variety of items every day, big and small, and need to be able to carry, lift, and move donations and feel comfortable handing donated items.
