54 an hour Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Information Technologies, maintains and supports the County's public facing communication platforms including the website and social media presence while working with other departments to ensure content and messaging produced by County departments is consistent and accessible.
Coordinates IT department communications, including support of staff training initiatives and documentation.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
1.
Acts as the primary support for the County's website content management system (CMS) and managed social media accounts.
Ensures all content, graphic/visual elements support the focused Jackson County branding and messaging in accordance with best practice and board policies.

Assists County departments with web site CMS training and content-author technical support.
3.
Assists other members of IT department with development and delivery of user training materials.
Provide training to county employees 4.
Makes recommendations to the IT Director regarding procurement and use of communications tools.
5.
Provides reporting regarding usage of communication tools to the IT Director 6.
Creates content for IT department communications and web presence.
7.
Responsible for assisting in the development of the long term strategy for web, social media, and mobile content, including developing additional features and technologies to support the County's mission.
8.
Supports IT department procurement processes including invoicing and purchasing.
9.
Creates on-line communications, logos and graphics for County publications.
10.
Support video streaming and video/media editing to support County functions.
11.
Assists in creation of data visualizations (dashboards, charts, etc.
) QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Graphics Design or relevant communications field.
Appropriate web design certifications will also be considered.
Experience:
Two to three years of enterprise level website/social media management experience providing knowledge of computer operations, CMS management, web server functionality, deployment, and experience developing and providing training and/or presentation materials in live and recorded settings.
Knowledgeable with social media platforms.
Experience in online-relevant programming language is preferred.
Prefer experience with industry standard graphics design applications Other Requirements:
Valid Michigan Drivers' License.
Relevant Skills/Specialized Equipment Knowledge:
Basic office equipment such as telephone, calculator, photocopier, etc.
Strong foundation in design principles and web standards; detailed understanding of how interactive experiences should function, look and feel.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work with a Content Management System.
Knowledge of search engine analytics to maximize web traffic.
Ability to make changes swiftly using appropriate development methodology while meeting or exceeding deadlines.
Clear understanding of cross-browser functionality and limitations.
Strong project management, time management and organizational skills.
Familiarity with ADA and Rehabilitation Act requirements for web site design and deployment.
Knowledge of web site related security.
